SOUTHERN WATER UPDATE 27/1

Letter received from Southern Water to the Parish Council:

Good morning,

I’d like to make you aware of an incident currently being managed in Kent. Earlier this morning, we were notified of a burst on a 10” pipe, which has resulted in approximately 3,200 properties being without water.

We will shortly begin delivering bottled water to all affected customers. Some customers may see their water return before their bottled water arrives, if this happens, we will prioritise deliveries to those who remain without supply.

Tankers are already on site and are working to inject water into the network to help restore supply as quickly as possible. Our repair team is also on site and progressing well with excavating the pipe and carrying out the necessary repairs.

We will provide a further update this afternoon.
