Cliffe and Cliffe Woods Parish Council

New Changing Rooms

The Cliffe and Cliffe Woods Parish Council are please to announce the official opening of our new changing rooms on Saturday 8th September at 2:30pm.

The build is complete apart from some minor 'snagging' and there was a trial use yesterday (26/8) by the Cliffe Crusaders Rugby Team who held a friendly match against Sheppey. Both teams and the referee were very pleased with the new facilities and everthing worked to plan (the electricity meter was only installed the day before so the builder Clark Clayton worked hard to make sure everything was commissioned for the game).

It has taken many years to get to this point, and the involvement of current and past parish councillors/clerks and football representatives - the original Pavilion was destroyed around 2004! The builder Gark Clark (Clark/Clayton) has provided a quality build and John Alford who provided the drawings and advised the steering group throughout and got us through the planning application/s free of charge.

The changing rooms are funded by the Parish Council, the Veoila Environment Trust and the Leader Programme (Kent Downs and Marshes) - a European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development.
